With a few exceptions Landlord and Tenant action can be referred to Chapter 83 of the Florida Statutes which controls both commercial and residential tenancies within Florida. The courts in Florida have made this area more approachable for the layman to navigate through this area of law. Our experience shows however that the finer points of the process are often overlooked and can cause sever consequences for the landlord. As a result legal fees can be much more than by having an attorney handle the matter for the enterity.
