  1. Take the time to read...EVERYTHING! In land sales transactions, there
    are normally several stacks of documents which must be prepared,
    reviewed and signed. Take the time to review each of these documents,
    including your loan documents, the legal descriptions, the sales contract,
    and the contract between you and your real estate agent.
  2. Ask Questions. Many buyers and sellers are timid about this daunting
    transaction and do not ask questions. This transaction will likely affect
    the next 10-30 years of your life; please ask your questions before you
    close.
         In most instances, the questions you ask at the onset can cost you far
less than those which went unasked.
